The appalling standard of refereeing in the country has come under the spotlight again after Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi lashed out at the match officials.
Mngqithi was incensed after their the DStv Premiership match against Swalllows at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday as the match ended 1-1.
The Downs coach issued a scathing attack against referee Luxolo Badi and his first assistant Athenkisi Ndongeni after Swallows were awarded a goal from what looked like an offside position deep into stoppage time to deny The Brazilians three points.
Masandawana thought they had taken all three points against the Dube Birds only for Musa Nyatama to score from a rebound after an initial strike from Kagiso Malinga s free-kick outside the 18-area was parried by goalkeeper Denis Onyango into the path of Nyatama to slot home and hand the visitors a point away from home.
