The first report, on Nov. 30 , involved 3,400 litres of fuel stolen from a truck behind a business on Athabasca Street in the Mount Paul Industrial Park on the Tk’emlups te Secwépemc reserve. The two other thefts occurred on Mission Flats Road home to Domtar pulp mill, the city’s wastewater treatment centre and a staging area for the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project. On Dec. 7, 1,300 litres of fuel was stolen from machinery on the road. On Dec. 8, 1,100 litres of fuel was stolen from trucks on the road. Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Darren Michels said fuel theft from all types of vehicles and equipment is not uncommon.
