Further still, the design embraces the unique character of its iconoclastic neighborhood. Rockwell Group aimed to capture the spirit of the East Village, allowing guests to uncover its many historical threads. Interiors are based on a kind of urban archaeology, with the hotel’s 13 floors loosely conceived as homages to different eras in the East Village’s past and present, as well as a projection of its future.
Zen is available in varying light and dark colourways, including cream, blush, indigo and ivy green, while Ion is available in more vivid colours such as pale blue and peach.

Dezeen Showroom:the Eclipse dining chair is the latest addition to Californian design studio Atelier de Troupe s Dérive d Été collection of furniture and lighting.
As with each item in the range, Eclipse incorporates an ellipse motif, which in this case curves around the chair to form both its backrest and arm supports.

This circular form is supported on four slender metal legs, with the front and back connected by a curved line on each side to create an ellipse-shaped base.
