The Council of Popular and Indigenous Organizations of Honduras (COPINH), co-founded by the assassinated leader Berta Cáceres, works with the Lenca Indigneous peoples of the mountains in the interior of Honduras. The Black Fraternal Organization of Honduras (OFRANEH) is the black people's social movement along the lush coast of Honduras led by Miriam Miranda. Together these groups are holding down the frontlines of resistance in the face of the US-backed military dictatorship of Juan Orlando Hernandez as they work to dismantle interlocking systems of capitalism, colonialism, patriarchy, and racism.
