remember ever seeing before. there are a couple of things. that particular lift at sugarloaf and another on the property had both been put on what is called a wind hold yesterday because of blustery conditions. people at the resort who were officially in charge of this lift certainly felt like the winds were high enough up above reported 40 mile-an-hour winds. they thought that was severe enough to put this on a wind hold before putting it into full operation. eventually though we know it was up and running with 150 to 200 people on it when that line, that cable came apart and sent those five cars crashing into the snow. that the one woman who said it wasn t very windy though, she said the reason she survived without very serious injuries they had 22 inches of fresh powder snow beneath. she basically hit a blanket. her goggles kept her ice from hitting the roll bar as it was tumbling to the ground. very blessed situation.
