THE FLATS – Riding a five-game winning streak, Georgia Tech returns to the court Saturday for an 8 p.m. ACC road contest against No. 13/12 Virginia at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Va., the second of two contests Tech faces against top-25 teams this week.
The Yellow Jackets (7-3, 3-1 ACC) got the better of the first such contest Wednesday night, an 83-65 homecourt win over No. 20/22 Clemson following a 17-day pause in their schedule. Tech has won seven of its last eight games following an 0-2 start to the season, including homecourt wins over North Carolina (72-67) and Wake Forest (70-54) in its last two games before the shutdown. Tech has been efficient offensively in its ACC games, averaging 71.5 points while hitting 51 percent from the floor and 42.1 percent from three-point range while turning the ball over just 12.3 times per game.
Watersound, Fla. – Connor Howe and Luka Karaulic each carded 1-under-par 71s Tuesday, leading Georgia Tech to their best round of the tournament and a 7
th place finish at the Camp Creek Seminole Invitational in Watersound, Fla.

TECH LINEUP – Tech posted its low round of the three days with only one double bogey or worse among its six players competing. As they did in Sunday’s opening round, the Yellow Jackets played holes 1 through 9 (Tech started on No. 10), much better than the back, with all six players under par. The four counters were 8-under-par collectively with only four bogeys after playing the back nine 8-over.
Jackets Roll Past Tigers, 67-55
CLEMSON, S.C. – Behind four Yellow Jackets in double-figures, Georgia Tech rolled past Clemson Thursday night in Littlejohn Coliseum, 67-55. Lotta-Maj Lahtinen scored a team-high 15 points, while Lorela Cubaj finished with her 13th career double-double.
Tech (5-3, 3-2 ACC) led by as many as 22 points in the final quarter after trailing by nine points in the opening frame. Cubaj recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 14 points and a career-high 20 rebounds, becoming the first Yellow Jacket since 1996 to secure 20-plus rebounds in a game. Cubaj finished the game with five blocks, two assists and two steals. Kierra Fletcher followed with 13 points, while Eylia Love contributed a season-high 12 points.
THE FLATS – Looking for its third straight win, Georgia Tech resumes Atlantic Coast Conference play against North Carolina with an 8 p.m. tip Wednesday night at McCamish Pavilion. It is the first of two straight conference games at home for the Yellow Jackets.
The Yellow Jackets (4-3, 0-1 ACC) have won four of their last five games following an 0-2 start, including a pair of homecourt wins over Florida A&M (74-64) and Delaware State (97-69) the weekend before Christmas. The Yellow Jackets also knocked off No. 20 Kentucky (79-62) at State Farm Arena and Nebraska (75-64) on the road before dropping its Atlantic Coast Conference opener Dec. 15 at No. 15 Florida State (74-61).
