Thoshan Panday and four family members appeared in the Durban Magistrates Court on charges related to a R47 FIFA World Cup Soccer contract.
Thoshan Panday bowed his head when he stood in the dock together with four family members, including his mother, who are now also facing corruption charges related to R47 million 2020 Fifa World Cup accommodation contracts in the Durban Magistrates Court.
Investigating Directorate spokesperson Sindisiwe Seboka said Thoshan Panday’s mother, Arevenda Panday; his wife, Privisha Panday, his sister Kajal Ishwarkumar, his brother-in-law Seveesh Maharaj Ishwarkumar and his former personal assistant Tasleem Rahiman were arrested this week on charges of racketeering, fraud, and money laundering. They appeared briefly in court on Friday morning for a bail application.
