Masks still recommended on buses and ferries

B.C. Transit has said it will recommend masks for all riders and those at bus stops. However, there won’t be enforcement if passengers don’t wear them. “We continue to recommend our customers wear face coverings to provide a comfortable environment on our buses for everyone,” B.C. Transit said in a statement. B.C. Ferries is also recommending passengers 12 and older who have not been fully vaccinated continue to wear masks in indoor public spaces on vessels and at terminals. The corporation said proof of vaccination will not be required. “Everyone’s level of comfort and tolerance for risk will be different,” said spokeswoman Astrid Chang. “Some people may wish to wear a mask. We ask everyone to be respectful of others’ personal space.”
