Remember Last Year s Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Concorde? It Just Entered Production

Aston Martin has kicked off the production of the DBS Superleggera Concorde more than a year after it was presented. There’s no word on why it took so long to bring the special edition grand tourer to the market, but it is possible that the global pandemic threw a spanner in Aston’s initial plans. Car #1 of 10 sports a white paint finish, contrasted by the black roof and the red accents flowing from the front to the rear pillar. The British flag is depicted on the front apron, the boot lid spoiler and the diffuser, and the special plaques and unique jet-black painted Civil Aviation Authority aircraft identifier number complete the design.

Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Concorde enters production

Aston Martin has marked the fifty years since the iconic Concorde with a limited edition DBS Superleggera Concorde. After initially being revealed earlier this year, the special edition is now in production, reaching customers early next year.  The DBS Superleggera Concorde special edition is the latest in Aston Martin’s “Wings” series, following on from the Vanquish S Red Arrows Edition, Vantage Blades Edition, and the V12 Vantage S Spitfire 80. Like those cars, the latest special celebrates an incredible part of aviation history. Often celebrated as one of the greatest achievements in aviation, and frequently cited as a design icon, Concorde enabled transatlantic passenger travel on a level that had never been achieved before, and has never been replicated since. A flight between London and New York took only 3.5 hours, compared to around eight in a conventional airliner.
