What causes asthma?
Asthma is an inflammatory disorder of the bronchial airways produced by allergies, viral respiratory infections and airborne irritants. The root cause is unknown but it seems that a combination of genetics and environment determines who is affected.

Pamela has asthma, which is part of the reason she has been working from home, and she s really happy to be taking part in the Love Your Lungs challenge with the Asthma Society of Ireland.

The Asthma Society of Ireland have launched their Love Your Lungs virtual fundraiser, supported by ALK, as part of Asthma Awareness Week.
It takes place from 1-8 May, 2021 and they want you to get involved.

Due to this, Asthma Awareness Week 2021 wants to focus on the importance of good asthma management and controlling the condition.
