PROFESSOR Philip Nolan’s “snake oil” comment about antigen tests was not helpful , Health Minister Stephen Donnelly has claimed.

IRELAND is facing over 9,000 Covid-19 cases being confirmed in the coming days, NPHET has warned.
Professor Philip Nolan made the grim prediction this evening as a record 1,754 new infections were confirmed tonight.

A further 11 people have also died after testing positive for the virus, bringing the country s death toll to 2,248.
In total, there have been 93,532 cases confirmed since the pandemic struck in February last year.
Some 504 patients are currently battling coronavirus in hospital, of which 47 are in ICU.
There has been 46 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
