A team of psychologists is donating their time to help people struggling to deal with the upcoming anniversary of Nova Scotia’s mass murders. The killing rampage began on April 18 of last year in Portapique and ended 13 hours later when police shot and killed the man behind it all at a gas station in Enfield, N.S. Twenty-two innocent people lost their lives over two days in Colchester, Cumberland and Hants counties. The murders happened in the midst of full lockdown orders at the beginning of the pandemic which prevented people from gathering to mourn the tragedy. Virtual memorials and tributes were held instead.
