While most veterans opt to receive benefits through direct deposit which is faster, safer and cheaper than getting a paper check in the mail we noticed a significant number of veterans did not have bank accounts and were still receiving checks or prepaid debit cards.

SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 2, 2021 /PRNewswire/ USAA announced today that Paul Vincent will take the helm as the new USAA Federal Savings Bank President and Neeraj Singh has been selected as the company s new Chief Risk Officer. Both roles report to USAA CEO Wayne Peacock.
Vincent was chosen to lead USAA Federal Savings Bank after seven years of leadership at USAA, including the past two years as senior vice president and head of retail banking where he was responsible for deposits, credit card and payments business. Singh joins USAA from Citigroup, where he was chief risk officer for U.S. consumer banking and head of global consumer risk modeling.
Mike League, as one of five new board members of the Palmer Land Conservancy (formerly Palmer Land Trust), will contribute finance and agricultural knowledge to the work that PLC does to protect Southern Colorado land for present and future recreation use, food sources and wildlife.
League is chairman, chief executive officer and president of 5Star Bank, whom for years has been known for his constructive involvement in the Colorado Springs community.
Farming and ranching in League’s family history make him especially keen to preserve and appreciate the vistas and peace that come from the beauty in nature. His great-grandparents were orchard growers on Colorado’s Western Slope. He has spent most of his life in the Pikes Peak region.
