Jan 25, 2021 Gabriella Sandy receives the ”Music For Life” certificate from Salem Quaker City Band Director Robert J. Barnett. Gabriella Sandy recently received the Tommy Guilbert “Music For Life” Award from the Association of Concert Bands. She is one of only five individuals in the United States to be honored with this recognition. Sandy, a resident of Niles, graduated from Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree and is presently teaching in the Youngstown City Schools while pursuing a Master’s Degree in Conducting. She has been a member oy the Salem Quaker City Band for the past five years.
