A secret indictment filed on Thursday added two new counts of Menacing by Stalking and one count of Intimidation of an Attorney, Victim, or Witness in a Criminal Case.
A Berlin Township man, who along with his 76-year-old mother is already charged in a 100-plus count serial stalking indictment, has been arrested on new charges.
YOUNGSTOWN A Mahoning County grand jury refused to indict Bryan Kevin Porter Jr., a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball team, on a weapons charge associated with a traffic crash last month.
Michael Yacovone, the assistant county prosecutor in charge of presenting cases to the grand jury, notified The Vindicator of the outcome Thursday, in an email. He provided two affidavits that were submitted by Porter’s attorneys.
Porter, 20, was charged with a felony charge of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle after he crashed a silver 2020 Mercedes Benz on Interstate 76 at 2 a.m. Nov 15.
Porter was not injured, but troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol found a gun in the car and arrested him on the charge.
