Dimapur, Aug. 24 (EMN): The Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) has served an ultimatum to the Department of Information Technology and Communication for immediate requisition of one Programme Officer (PO) post, four APO posts and one Technical Assistant (TA) post to the NPSC on or before September 15 this year. In a press release, the CTAN stated that not complying with its demand would take attract further course of action from it and its 11 federating units. It claimed that the department’s replies to its three RTIs filed between 2019 and 2022 revealed “manipulation” which is in direct contravention to the Service Rule book that lays down the percentage to be filled through promotion and through direct recruitment. According to the CTAN, the RTI reply received in December 2019 said that there were 13 sanctioned posts of PO, out of which one was lying vacant; and 12 sanctioned posts of TA, out of which one was lying vacant.
