Brook Square Surgery on Trafalgar Street West held a vaccination clinic over the weekend where patients over 70 were given their first immunisation against the disease.
The majority of mobile over-80s patients at the surgery have already been vaccinated, with those over-80s patients who are housebound beginning to receive their vaccination this week.
Stacey Lewins, Assistant Practice Manager, said: The feedback from patients has been absolutely excellent, they’ve said it s been run smoothly and efficiently, there’s been no queues and patients have been in and out in five minutes. It went really, really well on Saturday.
