Three men including a drug-driver are facing charges after a hoon event in Melbourne overnight which saw about 100 cars gather. Officers swarmed on the crowd allegedly performing and observing burnouts at Carrum Downs just before 11pm last night. Police had been monitoring the group for some time, Assistant Commissioner Russell Barrett said today. An estimated 100 cars were involved in the event.(Nine) We are really active in monitoring the behaviours in young people, particularly these drivers, Asst Comm Barrett said. A number of males have already been processed by police and at least three vehicles have been seized. He said he expected more arrests to be made and more car seized over the coming days.
