NAN reports that in compliance with Paragraph 11 Part 1 to the fifth schedule of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a governor is mandated to declare his assets at the end of the first tenure.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has said that his personal business concerns and assets have suffered a decline in value since he became the state governor. Makinde noted this on Sunday while speaking to journalists. The governor said he submitted his Asset Declaration form at the Code of Conduct Bureau office on Total Garden Road, Ibadan, on Friday. When he assumed office, Makinde declared that he had N48 billion worth of assets.
