In a unanimously approved decision during their board retreat on March 13, the Sheridan County School District No. 2 Board of Trustees approved a virtual learning pilot program, scheduled to begin in the fall of 2021.
According to the district, the Board discussed the virtual learning program at three consecutive board meetings, ultimately approving a three year pilot program. Trustees considered extensive input from students, parents, staff, and district leadership before making the decision.
Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Assessment Mitch Craft told listeners of Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, the district will use the remainder of the spring to further develop the program scheduled to begin next fall.
