Beginning today, all New Yorkers 60 years old and older will be able to walk in and get a COVID-19 vaccine without an appointment at the New York National Guard Armory in Yonkers.
This method of making vaccinations more accessible is being done at 16 state-run vaccination sites throughout New York. The state says the idea is to help vulnerable seniors who ve had a tough time making an appointment online or by phone.
Many residents have said how difficult it s been getting on the state website and making an appointment. This process is much harder for those who are not internet savvy, or don t have internet access at home.
