An order of protection. He was killed in a shoot out with a responding deputy. About 150 people were inside the plant at the time the shooting started with no apparent regard for human life. There was a lot of people in here, 2 to 300 people. In my mind, that officer saved a whole lot of lives because the shooter wasnt done. Witnesses say ford was warmed a handgun and a military style riffle. Also this morning a serious wreck shut down parts of i540 this morning. It happened around 7 45 near the glenwood avenue and lumley road exits. Reporter i just touched base with Raleigh Police and say this is still under investigation but tell had me several people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. It happened on 540, they still got lanes blocked off in either direction. Right now thats correct box truck over there, that was one of the cars involved. When he came on the property, two suspect came upon him with guns, basically ordered him off the property. Police say the Home Security system prompted officers to stop by the house. At the door, it was one of the robbers who answered, the officer asked for id, at which point the suspect made the female resident go to the door to get rid of the police. The officer asked her is everything okay, and she says yes, verbally, but winings that not is all okay. So the officer being alert as he was enters the foyer. When the officer went inside the male resident made break for the front door. One of the robbers came running into the foyer, was surprised to end up facetoface with the officer, and then pointed his gun at the officers pen and fired. We believe this discharged three times, thank god the officer was not struck. The officer himself, he fired from his gun, multiple times, and he did strike it the male suspect.
