The Department of Justice says its online portal exposed the personal information of anybody who was granted or denied a concealed-carry permit from 2011 to 2021.
According to the KCSO, a data breach by the California DOJ may have made the personal information of those "who were granted or denied a concealed and carry weapons (CCW) permits public.

Personal information for Californians who were granted or denied a concealed and carry weapons permit over a period of 10 years, as well as the personal information of people associated with several other gun dashboards was disclosed online this week, the state's Department of Justice confirmed.
