To the great relief of passengers stranded due to disruption of road and railway connectivity, the State Government has announced resumption of flights between Silchar and Guwahati
The passengers can book flights from ATDC Head Office, Paltan Bazar, Guwahati, and the Deputy Commissioner office, Cachar. Tickets can also be booked by dialing 8135902973.
Nine more people, including two children, died in rain-related incidents in Assam, raising the toll in this year's floods and landslides to 55, a bulletin by the state's disaster management authority said.
