Guwahati: Assam s Finance, Education and Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday hit out at the Congress and claimed that the party has forgotten the northeastern state.
Taking to Twitter, the senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader shared screenshots of two posts from the Facebook page of Congress official campaign Assam Bachao .
Sarma mentioned that the pictures of tea gardens used in the posts were actually of Taiwan, not Assam.
“Official Congress campaign page is using photo of tea garden from Taiwan to say Assam Bachao . Congress leaders can t even recognise Assam? This is an insult of Assam and Tea Garden workers of our state,” tweeted Sarma.
