Garbage has been lying piled up at street corners forcing residents to suffer the unbearable stench. Waste is not being segregated either. The state govt has sought three days to mull over the demands of the sanitation workers. The 700-strong regular sweepers working in 50 wards have demanded a pay hike from Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000 per month.
CM Sarma also said that the State has already witnessed a robust industrial climate. He also said in the last couple of years under the present State government, MoU worth Rs. 10 thousand crore have been agreed upon with different business ventures.
