India News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated development projects worth nearly Rs 11,600 crore in Assam. The projects include the Kamakhya Temple corridor, six-lane road, Nehru Stadium upgrade, new sports complex, Asom Mala roads phase 2, Gauhati Medical College and Hospital building, Karimganj Medical College and Hospital, Unity Mall, and new four-lane roads. PM Modi met with BJP leaders during his visit.
In another great leap forward in the States forward march in infrastructure development initiatives on Sunday, through the virtual mode, ceremonially inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth a total of Rs. 11,600 crores at a ceremony held at the College of Veterinary Science Playground in Guwahati. The Prime Minister inaugurated the four-laning of national highway from Biswanath Chariali to Gohpur built at a cost of Rs. 1,451 crores and the four-laning of national highway from Dolabari to Jamuguri that was built at a projected cost of Rs. 592 crores.
Some of the major projects for which foundation stones were laid were the Kamakhya temple corridor (Rs 498 crore), the six-lane road from the new airport terminal in Guwahati (Rs 358 crore), the upgradation of Nehru Stadium, among others
