Special treatment to jailed Hallmark GM: Senior Jail Super Ratna Roy, Jailer Nur Mohammad withdrawn
Senior Jail Super Ratna Roy and Jailer Nur Mohammad Mredha have been withdrawn as investigation is underway over providing special treatment to Hallmark Group General Manager Tushar Ahmed by allowing women to meet the prisoner at Kashimpur Jail in Gazipur.
Inspector General (IG) of Prisons Brigadier General Md Mominur Rahman Mamun confirmed the news.
Earlier on January 06, Tushar, brother-in-law of Hallmark MD Tanvir Mahmud, allegedly met a woman in the cabin of a prison official for about 45 minutes.
The woman was allegedly escorted to the cabin of a prison official by Deputy Jailer of Kashimpur Central Jail-1 Md Golam Saqlain, and two others. Senior Jail Super Ratna Roy was present at her office during the time.

The Gympie Clinic team have announced they will be welcoming British-born and trained GP Dr Stuart Cooper to their practice next month.
Dr Cooper arrives at the clinic from Bribie Island, where he has been working since he and his family arrived in Australia in 2016. The Gympie Clinic is welcoming British born and trained General Practitioner Doctor Stuart Cooper next month.
In a statement practice owner Lauren Ranaweera said Dr Cooper will be available Wednesday to Friday starting from February 3. He is taking on new patients and looking forward to meeting community members.
“While enjoying all aspects of GP practice Stuart has special interests in male health, child health, chronic disease management, the health of older people and palliative care,” Mrs Ranaweera said.
