they re going throes their asylum claim and be returned to these dangerous home countries in central america, for example, they don t want their child to have to face that if they do have the option to stay in the united states and be grant add sigh lum. so from your reporting, have you gotten a sense of how many people may have exercised that option? i don t. we know that at least 12 parents have been deported without their children. we don t know, however, if that was done voluntarily or if they chose that. but we don t have a good sense yet how many parents chose to be deported without their children. it is worth noting, you mentioned that all of the children under age 5 had been reunited with their parents. just under half actually were deemed ineligible for reunification. that is currently happening with the children older than 5. more than 1,000 of the children have been deemed either ineligible for reunification or for some reason have not had
