Carole Hopson loved airplanes as a girl, when she used to lay on the grass and watch them fly over her grandmother’s house.
“I wanted to be an airline pilot from the day I can remember wanting to be anything. I was four years old and I used to lie in the grass in my grandmothers’ backyard. It was on the approach path to Philadelphia International Airport and I’d look at the airplanes overhead,” she said.
