Delwer Hussain made new SAFA President The New Nation

AKM Delwer Hussain FCMA, Past President and Council Member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh has been appointed as President of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) for the year 2021, said a press release.
AKM Delwer Hussain is a senior Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB). He has served ICMA Bangladesh as its President for two times in the year 2004 and 2013.
He was elected as a Board Member and also Member of the Strategic Committee of the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) in 2004.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) hosted the 24
th SAFA Best Presented Annual Reports (BPA) Awards Ceremony in Colombo last week with 16 Sri Lankan companies bagging awards for excellence in financial reporting in South Asia.
The SAFA BPA Awards organised by the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) is considered the most prestigious accolade for financial reporting in the South Asian region and has played a catalyst role in promoting excellence and effective communication in the presentation of high-quality, relevant, reliable and objective financial and non-financial information for over two decades.

Hybrid event conducted virtually and awards presented personally
The ‘CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards 2020’ was held for the sixth consecutive year to recognise and honour Sri Lankan companies preparing high quality integrated reports. With the challenges faced by the COVID-19 pandemic, this time the awards ceremony was held as a hybrid event combining both virtual and awards presented personally on 21 December.
