By Reuters Staff (Adds details) MOSCOW, May 2 (Reuters) - Russian oil and gas condensate output rose 2% to 10.46 million barrels per day (bpd) in April, from 10.25 million bpd in March, according to Reuters calculations based on an Interfax report on Sunday citing energy ministry data. Under a deal agreed by the OPEC+ group of leading oil producers in March, Russia’s production quota was allowed to increase by 130,000 bpd from April 1 to 9.379 million bpd, excluding the output of gas condensate, a light oil. Russia’s oil and gas condensate production totalled 42.81 million tonnes in April, in comparison with 43.34 million tonnes in March, which was a day longer, the news agency reported.

The world’s biggest steel producer churned out 94.02 million tonnes of crude steel last month, the highest since August 2020, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed. That compared with 78.98 million tonnes in March 2020. Average daily output last month increased to 3 million tonnes from a daily average of 2.97 million tonnes in January-February period, according to Reuters calculations based on the NBS data.
