Dimapur, Oct. 25 (EMN): Ghaspani battalion of the Assam Rifles celebrated Diwali with the residents and village council members in Ghaspani, Nihokhu, Kukidolong, Piphema, Zubza and T’ Khel Model Village under Chümoukedima, Niuland and Kohima districts on October 24. A defence release stated that the more that 30 children from Orphanage and Destitute Home in T’ Khel Model village, Kohima, also joined the festivities with the AR troops. The celebration was attended by Commander of 6 Sector AR as well as officers and GBs. In a related programme, Jalukie battalion of the Assam Rifles celebrated Diwali in Peren district on the same day.
