TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) Preparations are underway for the Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club summer day camp, running from June 1-Aug. 9 and accepting kids ages 5 to 14.
The camp s theme will be, Time Traveling Through the Decades. From 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., campers will participate in a variety of activities such as games, arts and crafts and field trips. A daily meal and snack will also be provided.
Program director Ashton Stevenson said, In the past, we ve had about 150 (participants). I don t know if we ll get those. I know our numbers were a little bit down last year. But we re hoping with things starting to open again, more kiddos will start to come.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) With Vigo County Schools extending remote learning through the end of the year, the Boys and Girls Club has opened its doors for kids the whole day.
Bobby Moore, director of operations for Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club says they are trying to make things easier for parents as the pandemic continues. Trying to give these kids a positive place to go so their parents can feel less stressful having their child at a safe environment but know that they re completing their homework and that we re providing a meal for them as well, said Moore.
