Grand Valley hopes to return to in-school learning in January

Dec 23, 2020 ORWELL — The Grand Valley Local Schools continue to interact with the community regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and hope to return to in-school learning in January depending on what direction cases are trending, said GVLS Superintendent William Nye. Nye said the school board discussed the state of online education and reviewed the options when students are scheduled to go back to school in early January. He said the district is aware many students face daunting challenges with online class work — especially with connectivity problems throughout the district. He said the district has been providing hotspots to homes with connectivity difficulty.
