PATNA: Bihar’s both leading regional parties- Lalu Prasad-led RJD and CM Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) on Friday gird up their loins to contest the forthcoming assembly polls in other states, soon after the Election Commission announced schedule for assembly polls in five states namely Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and West Bengal.
While the RJD has, as of now, decided to contest the polls in Assam, West Bengal and Kerala either alone or in alliance with some other parties; the Bihar’s ruling JD(U) has decided to go solo in Assam and West Bengal.
Assembly polls will be held for 140 seats in Kerala, 126 seats in Assam and 294 seats in West Bengal.

PATNA: The two leading regonal parties of Bihar - chief minister Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) and Lalu Prasad s RJD - on Friday geared up to contest the forthcoming assembly polls in other states, the schedule for which was announced by the Election Commission.
Four states - Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and the Union territory of Puducherry will go to polls between March 27 and April 29. The results will be announced on May 2.
