PETALING JAYA: All general practitioners (GPs) and their medical staff should be prioritised in the Covid-19 vaccination programme as they are also frontliners fighting the pandemic, says Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) president Prof Datuk Dr Subramaniam Muniandy. He said for now, less than half of the 7,000 GPs nationwide had been invited to register for the first priority group.
He urged for GPs, especially from private clinics, to be included although they might not be in the public health sector.
“Vaccination is a form of defence and although we must still adhere to the SOP and wear PPE (personal protective equipment), it is right that all medical healthcare workers be given the vaccination.
