Forty-four-year-old James Casey, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to five burglaries and two thefts when he appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.
His crimes included stealing £1,200 from the flat at the Hopinn, Newcastle, on October 12 and £1,200 from Don Bur Limited in Longton on October 19.
