According to Zee News TV report, the four soldiers include one captain rank official. However, there is no official confirmation from the army so far. One terrorist is also reportedly killed in the encounter.
Five militants were killed in an encounter at Samnoo village in the Kugam district of south Kashmir during the early hours of Friday. The encounter operation began on Thursday evening.
Sepoy Pradeep Singh, who was with the Sikh Light Infantry, was part of 19 Rashtriya Rifles. The 27-year-old soldier, with seven years of service in the Army, was from Punjab’s Patiala, and is survived by his wife.
