Scrapyard plans cause concern for North Ormesby residents

Omega Metal Recycles North Ormesby PLANS to build a scrapyard near a residential street has caused uproar with local residents. Omega Metal Recycling Ltd has submitted a planning application to Middlesbrough Council to convert a storage facility into a scrapyard. The site is located on land off James Street, North Ormesby, Middlesbrough. James Street and Brewsdale Road are two busy commercial roads with a wide variety of businesses with access to the A66. The application site is approximately 0.42hectares on an existing concrete slab from previous industrial use, which will be used for location of containers, storage of recycled areas and parking.
