Appearing by video from the Delaware County Jail at his sentencing for the bludgeoning of Donna Harris, Eastman, 36, filed two last-minute pro se motions Friday to dismiss his indictment on technicalities. Both attempts were denied after lengthy discussions with Delaware County Common Pleas Judge James Schuck. After tearful testimony from Donna Harris family and friends and little emotion and no apology from Eastman, Schuck made his decision: life in prison with no chance of parole.
