The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality announced Monday afternoon that it cancelled the boil order for McAlester Public Works Authority in Pittsburg County.
Most of Pittsburg County is still under a do not use water order. It comes after a water pump broke and lowered the water pressure. It also potentially contaminated the water.
A water pump at the McAlester Water Treatment Plant is back in service — but a "Do Not Use warning for city of McAlester water customers remains in effect.
