COVID-19 is claiming the life of multiple individuals in Fort McMurray.
The province announced on Tuesday four additional deaths from the virus across Alberta – two of which lived in the community.
These are the fourteenth and fifteenth deaths related to COVID-19 in Fort McMurray and the RMWB.
One of the individuals was a man in his 50s who had an unknown amount of other comorbidities, while the other resident was a woman in her 50s who also had an unknown amount of other conditions.

The active total of COVID-19 cases in Fort McMurray is continuing to drop.
The province announced on Monday 263 new cases over the past 24-hours.
There are currently 7,646 active cases across Alberta, while there have been a total of 227,509 positive tests.
There are also 439 Albertans in the hospital for the virus, 133 of which are in ICUs.
Locally, Fort McMurray added eight new cases and 62 recoveries in the past 24 hours which lowers the active total to 493.
The rural areas added two new cases and one recovery, with the total of active cases now sitting at 26.
