Due to a pulled fire alarm, Wildcat Arena was emptied twice before tip-off of El Dorado’s girls’ basketball game against league-leading Benton on Friday. There was no fire but the Lady Wildcats still got burned, falling to the Lady Panthers 71-43 in 5A South play.
El Dorado’s varsity girls moved into third place in the conference with a massive 64-57 victory over Hot Springs Lakeside on Friday at Wildcat Arena. The Lady Wildcats and Lady Rams are now tied with 5-2 league marks behind unbeaten Benton and Sheridan.
The Wildcats had a shot to win but missed at the buzzer and fell to the Rams 49-47 in varsity boys.
