Sepang Deputy OCPD: Cops investigating media trespass at MAEPS quarantine centre, not doctors strike

SEPANG: The police are investigating allegations that media personnel trespassed into the Covid-19 Integrated Quarantine and Treatment Centre (PKRC) 2.0 in the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS), says Sepang Deputy OCPD Supt Md Noor Aehawan Mohamed. He said that the police have recorded the statements of 17 Health Ministry personnel - including doctors and nurses - in connection with the alleged trespass. In a statement on Wednesday (July 28), Supt Md Noor Aehawan said that the police received a report on the matter which was lodged by the PKRC’s management on Tuesday (July 27). “The area has been designated as Covid-19 quarantine and treatment centre and outsiders are not allowed on the premises without permission. The centre has about 496 Covid-19 patients,” he said.

Cops: Probe of alleged rape by assemblyman s associate should wrap within the week

KUALA LUMPUR: The statements of fewer than 10 individuals have been recorded in connection with the rape investigation allegedly involving associates of a Selangor assemblyman. Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim said they expect to wrap up the investigation this week. We are in the process of completing the investigation. Fewer than 10 people have been called up as witnesses. The investigation paper will be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor within this week, he told a press conference at Dang Wangi police headquarters on Monday (May 24). It was reported that police were investigating a report from a woman who claimed that one of the assemblyman s two associates raped her at a hotel in Sri Hartamas in December.
