sections of the roof came flying off. some of the debris we see has been wrapped around some of the light posts in the parking lot area. home depot got a lot of damage. they had sheds, they had some plants and stands they were all sitting on. all of that just blew around and was smashed to pieces. they have a big cleanup job ahead of them. now we have been speaking to folks here, some of whom were in the ea at the time it happened, including one gentleman he and his wife were wondering whether or not it was a tornado. well, it was like a train roaring. this is quarter to 1:00. it woke my wife and i up. we heard the windows began to rattle. weried to go downstairs in the basement. we laid down on the floor. it lasted less than ten minutes. i heard something fall. a tree fell. i came out and looked around and we had no lights. reporter: rhode island avenue inbound is closed. we have a lot of issues with trees and power lines as well. back to you all in the studio. thanks
