Homelessness charity benefits from huge supermarket sweep Date published: 05 May 2021 Emmaus Mossley community members Richard and Peter at Asda in Ashton Homelessness charity Emmaus Mossley has received five shopping trolleys filled with donations thanks to a grant from the Asda Foundation. Emmaus Mossley successfully applied to Asda Foundation’s Transforming Communities and Improving Lives Grants scheme. The £720 grant was spent on healthy food and hygiene products for the community of 26 formerly homeless people supported by the charity. Emmaus Mossley provides a home, meaningful work, training and support to people who have experienced homelessness or social exclusion. People supported by the charity gain skills, confidence and experience by working together in the Emmaus Mossley social enterprise.
