The Rev. Dr. Jilson Panakkal began his work at Church of the Ascension July 1.
He was ordained in 1995, first serving his home diocese of Kannur in India in different capacities before coming to the United States in 2017.
He obtained his doctorate in Canon Law from the Pontifical Urban University in Rome. He served as the judicial vicar for seven years before beginning work in the tribunal of the diocese of Phoenix as a judge.
Fr. Jilson also works as the director of social work in his home diocese. He is the author of âImpact of Alcohol on Marital Obligations,â published by Scholarâs Press.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) mencatat, daya belipetani mengalami kenaikan pada Juni 2021. Hal tersebut terefleksikan dari naiknya Nilai Tukar Petani (NTP) yang merupakan salah satu indikator untuk melihat tingkat kemampuan atau daya beli petani di perdesaan Kepala BPS Margo Yuwono mengatakan, pada Juni 2021 NTP sebesar 103,59 atau naik 0,19 persen dari bulan sebelumnya.
Kenaikan tersebut dikarenakan Indeks Harga yang Diterima Petani (It) naik sebesar 0,01 persen. Pada saat bersamaan, Indeks Harga yang Dibayar Petani (Ib) turun sebesar 0,18 persen.
“Indeks harga barang dan jasa yang dikonsumsi oleh rumah tangga maupun biaya produksi dan penambahan barang modal, mengalami penurunan,” kata Margo dalam konferensi pers virtual, Kamis (1/7/2021).
