CLOVIS, N.M. (KFDA) - Achieving the Dream announced the first cohort of colleges in its new Building Resiliency in Rural Communities for the Future of Work initiative.
This aims to increase student success by strengthening rural colleges’ capacity to prepare students for careers in today’s economy.
This is funded by the Cognizant U.S. Foundation, JPMorgan Chase & Co., The Community Focus Fund at the Chicago Community Foundation, Walmart.org, and Ascendium Education Group.

LSU at Eunice has been selected to participate in a program that aims to prepare students for careers.
Achieving the Dream, a nationwide network of more than 300 colleges, selected seven schools to start their Building Resiliency in Rural Communities for the Future of Work initiative, and LSU E is one of them.
The aim of the program is to increase equitable student success by strengthening rural collegesâ capacity to prepare students for careers in todayâs economy. The initiative is funded by the Cognizant U.S. Foundation, JPMorgan Chase & Co., The Community Focus Fund at the Chicago Community Foundation, Walmart.org, and Ascendium Education Group.
R Street welcomes back Alex J. Pollock as distinguished senior fellow of Finance and Trade
WASHINGTON (February 16, 2021) R Street is pleased to welcome back Alex J. Pollock as a distinguished senior fellow of Finance and Trade providing thought and policy leadership on financial issues and the study of financial systems.
His work includes cycles of booms and busts, financial crises with their political responses, housing finance, government-sponsored enterprises, risk and uncertainty, central banking, banking and financial regulation, corporate governance, retirement finance, student loans and the politics of finance.
“It was highly interesting to work on the financial crisis of 2020 from within the government,” Pollock said, “but now I am delighted to be rejoining my R Street colleagues in the public debate of the many ongoing challenges in political finance.”
