The El Paso Fire Department water rescue team on Wednesday evening recovered a body found in Ascarate Lake, a department spokesman said.
The body was pulled from the lake in Ascarate Park at about 6 p.m. as an investigation by the medical examiner and the El Paso County Sheriff s Office continues, an EPFD spokesman said.
No details had been released regarding the deceased person.
It had not been disclosed if the body in the lake was linked to search for a missing person by sheriff s deputies on Tuesday at the large county-run park. This is a developing story. Check back later for updates.
